Carboxylated micromer¢ç
micromod Zetapotential Kit – Carboxylated micromer¢ç checks the whole range of negative Zetapotentials
  • with carboxylated latex particles of a constant diameter (2 µm)
  • with well defined Zetapotentials up to –60 mV
  • with clearly defined conditions for the Zetapotential measurement
Test the beads for your application, e.g.:
  • protein binding assays
  • model studies in ecology
  • surface modifications of membranes or films
  • electrophoretic studies
The micromod Zetapotential Kit – Carboxylated micromer¢ç contains
  • latex particles with a plain surface as reference, micromer¢ç (white), and
  • 3 types of carboxylated latex particles, micromer¢ç (yellow), micromer¢ç (red) and micromer¢ç (blue)
The Zetapotential values of the latex particles strongly depend on the concentration of the background electrolyte.

For optimal Zetapotential measurements we recommend:
  • the use of 0.001 M – 0.0001 M KCl solution as electrolyte medium for a standard measurement
  • a particle concentration of about 5 – 10 µg particles per ml electrolyte (e.g. dilution of 10 – 20 µl 1% particle suspension (10 mg/ml) in 20 ml electrolyte medium)
  • the use of 0.0001 M KCl solution as electrolyte medium for the determination of the Zetapotential–pH-function and the pH titration with the system 0.1 M HCl / 0.1 M KOH to prevent additional foreign ions
