Class-selective SPE sorbent for multi-residue extraction of ß-blockers in water and biological samples

ß-blockers, also called ß-receptor antagonists, are an important class of anti-hypertension and cardio arrhythmic drugs. For clinical, veterinary and environmental monitoring a highly selective and sensitive method for the simultaneous determination of several ß-blockers is required. Using AFFINILUTE MIP - ß-Blocker an easy, effective and selective extraction of the ß-blockers is obtained.

A broad spectrum of ß-blockers in biological samples can be extracted with the AFFINILUTE MIP-ß Blocker product e.g. atenolol, betaxolol, carazolol, pindolol, propranolol, sotalolol, timolol, metoprolol.>

Detection limits are consistent with a reliable survey of drugs of abuse. The MIP columns have a superior loading capacity compared to immuno-affinity columns. It is recommended to use MS detection for results requiring forensic validity. It is also possible to use the AFFINILUTE MIP -ß blocker columns in automated solid-phase extraction systems.
