ISOLUTE® HCX-3 (sorbent ref. 905)
Mixed-mode SPE

Multiple (hydrophobic and cation exchange) interactions on ISOLUTE HCX, HCX-3 and HCX-5

Description: Mixed-mode C18 and strong cation exchange functionalized silica. Manufactured using trifunctional silanes. Non end-capped.
Average Particle Size: 50 µm (irregular shaped particles)
Nominal Porosity: 60 Å
Applications: Matrix – Aqueous
Analytes – Non-polar with basic (positively charged) groups
Retention mechanism – Dual non-polar and cation exchange
Comments: Alternative to ISOLUTE HCX where more rententive non-polar sorbent is required for rentention of polar compounds.
