Biopolymer particles

Red fluorescent crosslinked magnetic dextran nanoparticles (nanomag¢ç -CLD -redF)
  • combine separation and detection purposes
  • a red fluorescence (Excitation: 540 nm, Emission: 572 nm)
  • prepared by precipitation of iron oxide in the presence of dextran
  • available with a particle diameter of 100 nm
  • consist of about 80-90% (w/w) iron oxide in a matrix of dextran (40.000 D)
  • can not be separated with a conventional permanent magnet but in a high gradient magnetic field
  • show good specific power absorption rates in alternating magnetic fields
